Abe Abuchowski is a Senior Pharmaceutical Executive and Leader with over forty years of experience. He developed the only FDA approved protein drug delivery system called PEGylation. Co-founded and was Chairman & CEO of Enzon. Abe developed three approved drugs - Adagen, Oncaspar and PEG-Intron (licensed to Shering Plough). He left in 1996 and started consulting for new company startups. Abe co-founded Prolong Pharmaceuticals in 2002 to develop novel therapeutics utilizing this technology. The company has two products in clinical trials and one in the research phase. These companies under his leadership have raised over $100 million. He also has 86 publication from 1974 to 2020. He was International Advisory Committee on Blood Substitutes, Biotechnology Industry Association Gilford's Who's Who and Founder, First Chairman - The Biotechnology Council of NJ Co-Chairman NJ Legislative Task Force on Biotechnology, New Jersey's "Entrepreneur of the Year", Named one of the "Top 100" business leaders in NJ and other personal achievements.
