Brandon Hogstad, Ph.D.
Brandon Hogstad, Ph.D., is a principal consultant and biotech strategist with extensive experience in scientific due diligence, commercialization, partnerships, and alliance management. As the founder of Morpheos Innovation Services LLC, Brandon helps biotech startups, investors, and academic institutions bring breakthrough healthcare innovations to market. He has led projects that include building re-branding strategies for preclinical pharmacology CROs and driving IP strategies and in-licensing activities for cutting-edge biotechnologies. Brandon is well-versed in target validation, preclinical study design, and competitive landscape analysis, regularly engaging with key opinion leaders to inform and refine commercialization strategies. Prior to Morpheos, Brandon held key roles at NYU Langone Health, where he served as Associate Director of the Colton Center for Autoimmunity and Business Development Manager for the Office of Therapeutics Alliances. At the Colton Center, he managed a $1M annual project pipeline focused on discovering novel autoimmune therapeutics and diagnostics, collaborating with industry giants such as Sanofi. His leadership extended to establishing research collaborations, including a pivotal partnership with Pfizer that contributed to the development of nirmatrelvir, the antiviral component of Paxlovid. Brandon's strategic vision has been integral to securing funding, expanding research initiatives, and advancing therapeutic discovery. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, his scientific contributions have been published in prestigious journals such as Nature and Journal of Experimental Medicine, underscoring his dedication to advancing medical science and improving global health.
